This academic year is, indeed, the best year of my college life.
I joined a university-wide organization named, Mediartrix (A university-wide organization in UST that organizes Musical plays) which I became a performer, again. Yes, I am into performing. Here, I met new people, I had a new set of “college” friends and I had a family.
But unfortunately, because of not managing my time and not prioritizing what I should, I failed a major subject on my first semester. This is because I occurred 9 absences and had a low grade on my final exam.
The 1st sem is still a good sem for me though.
When the semestral break came, me and my GG friends went to San Pedro Laguna and had an overnight in Hekki’s house. Because I’ve been busy with the KLEPTOspirosis(Mediartix’ minor production) I didn’t get the chance to be with them the whole semester that’s why I missed them so so so so so much.
And the second semester started. This is also the time that Mediartrix is preparing for the Major Production which is Miss Saigon. And because of what happened last semester, I decided not to join the performing side and be a staff for the said production. But as the time goes by, and because performing is really my passion, I envy the performers and felt guilty because I did not audition. Then, after few weeks, my Lolo JP Perez, the choreopgrapher of the production texted me and told me that I will be a performer and wihout any doubt I said yes. I enjoy every rehearsal and every activity the our director is conducting. From the day I started rehearsing, I didn’t fail to attend any rehearsals. And after all the hard work of the whole production and performing team the Major Production became successful. I can say that this production is really a memorable one because I became close to other members of the org, improved my acting skills and in this production I received a really unexpected thing: The best female chorus award.
Second semester is really a fun and memorable semester especially when Valentine’s day came. My boyfriend surprised me. The biggest surprise he gave me within our 6-year relationship. What he did is indeed a very touching one. That was the best Valentine’s day ever.
You know what made my AY 2011 - 2012? My 19th birthday!!!! I had, not the best because my mom’s not with me, but a better bday celeb than last year! My Daddy Dennis, Netnet and Aena surprised me inside my room, which, FYI, is the surprise I’ve been dreaming of since then! They made it come true! Yehey! And after their surprise another came, my UST Lifebox family also surprised me! I had two cakes that I brought from UST to my dorm.
As the night came, I celebrated my birthday with Kel and my GG friends! We had a picnic at Lover’s Lane. And had a lot of teasing, story telling and everything! The day ended great and it is really a memorable one.
But wait there’s more! My birthday celebration doesn’t end there! I also celebrated my birthday with Kel and my family, we ate dinner together the day after my birthday and had an “Inuman Session” with my cousins and our maids.
I also celebrated it with my Baby Sister/Dormmate Patty at the Bagoong Club, with my Mediartrix parents, Mommy Hiyas and Daddy Dennis at Shakey’s and the last celebration is with Kelvin at Savory Chicken.

And the best news I ever had this AY! I don’t have any failing grade for this sem and I am definitely an incoming 4th year Marketing student!
3rd year is the best year I had. And I will make my last year as a Thomasian a better than the best year ever. :)
